Fringe skirts have been a major street style trend for a while now, but I only recently got my hands on one and it was while I was helping an old employer do a massive closet purge. I happened to catch a glimpse of this fringe skirt sitting in the garbage pile and my hands couldn’t have snatched it any faster. I asked her what on earth this beautiful skirt was doing in the garbage pile and she said she didn’t like it, me being slightly embarrassed that I was practically drooling over this gorgeous piece, graciously asked if I could have it.
It’s not your everyday outfit, it’s a piece that creates a lot of attention so I like to try and keep the top very minimal with the bottom being so busy. Worn with my absolute favorite bodysuit brand Only Hearts (seen here) to keep it simple and draw the eyes to the fringe. I also love to wear this skirt with big chunky knit sweaters and a higher boot for a cozy, yet stylish look on colder days.
I also wanted to share that my photographer Sinziana and I decided to shoot in Central Park this week…. on a Saturday, which is probably the busiest day of the week because the weather was beyond perfect and it’s the weekend. When you’re not born to be behind a camera it couldn’t be any more awkward, especially when you have hundreds of bystanders stopping to see what is happening. We tried to take a few photos without sunglasses on but Sinziana kept telling me I was closing my eyes, and I was, I was trying to block out the people stopping to watch lol. I think thats the one part of blogging that I will never get used to. For some reason wearing sunglasses makes me feel invisible while doing photos… maybe thats why so many bloggers wear sunglasses in their photos and makes the photos less personal;).
I’ve linked a few similar fringe skirt options below as I cannot track down this exact one. Happy Shopping!
