I feel like this year has been the wildest and busiest one yet and all for great reasons. I haven’t always done a lot of travel aside from traveling back and forth visiting family across Canada. Living in New York for nearly 5 years had temporarily nulled my itch to go to far because I was so preoccupied exploring the city (and still am). But this year a lot of exciting things have come up and I love sharing them. Hopefully many more down the road.
Anyways, Amelia Island… WOW! We stayed at the Ritz Carlton about a 15 minute drive from town and it was stunning. The resort itself was impeccable and the staff was beyond accommodating. We had amazing dinners all over the resort from the beach to ballrooms and also had time to explore dining in the city which had such a Southern charm. Our resort was huge so it never felt over crowded. The beaches were private with the most adorable umbrella and chair setup that looked like it belonged in a movie and were just asking to be photographed. There were multiple pools to wander to and endless cocktail and food service flowing. It was basically a bloggers dream for photos with the golden sunsets, blue ocean water and white sandy beaches. I think I probably drove everyone on the trip crazy by constantly stopping for photos.
On our last day the girls did a spa day while the guys went golfing, and I have to say that this was one of the nicest spas I have been to. It was so big and luxurious that I probably didn’t belong in there haha. It had private indoor and outdoor pools, eucalyptus steam room, grand lounge rooms with all sorts of goodies (of course we went with white wine). There’s nothing like a good spa day to finish up an amazing trip.
They had these beautiful long walkways all over to walk you to and from the beach.
The grand fire place was the perfect meeting spot for happy hour;)
My husband does not like having photos taken, so the odd time that I can trick him into one is always a lucky day;)
