Take Me Back To Hawaii

May 3, 2017 by Gillian Del Zotto

I’m so excited to finally have my website back in action. I recently made some changes to make it easier to navigate and hopefully help all of you find whatever it is you are looking for when coming to visit my blog.  It was a much needed upgrade and now I will keep things constantly up to date.  Don’t forget to check out my shopping section to see some of the latest trending pieces:).

Anyways, onto more fun stuff, my trip to Hawaii! Wow, where do I begin? It was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been to. It was a last minute trip that my husband and I decided to go on and right before our trip one of my sisters (who is 5 months pregnant) decided to join with her husband which was so nice since we don’t each other often.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Kauai which is one of the quieter Hawaiian islands and it couldn’t have been more relaxing. The private resort was over 50 acres with endless pools, restaurants and space so it never really felt like we were surrounded by a bunch of strangers. We originally thought that we were going to go on many big adventures all over the island but we loved the resort so much that we never wanted to leave. We did venture out a few times for hikes and dinners which were great!

The resort had about 7-8 different pools and one narrow floating river that had a current to drift you down the winding river bringing you to multiple other pools.  They had some pools strictly for adults, some for children and some even had a no cell phone policy… so I stayed away from that one.  It was the perfect balance and helped spread the guests out around the resort.

One night before the sun set we decided to grab a bottle of wine, some beers, and some virgin drinks for my sister, and sat on the beach watching the waves come in.  That only lasted so long because we got completely drenched when a huge wave came up and wiped out or spot. There’s nothing better than lounging by the water and having someone bring you endless margaritas, burgers and tacos.  It’s no wonder we stayed at the resort so much! This was actually a huge cliff, but the photo is deceiving and I didn’t have the guts to get close to it.I wore this jumper by Tobi and it was so comfortable for a night out to dinner. We decided we would drag ourselves from the pool to go explore the island a little bit and it was totally worth it.  We found Wailua Falls and not only were the falls amazing but the drive up through the mountains was stunning, pictures really don’t do it justice. One of the days my husband and brother-in-law went golfing (and apparently the golf course was pretty incredible) while my sister and I lounged and explored the resort.  Wearing this adorable halter top from Tobi is perfect for warmer days with cute lace details!Until next time Kauai!Top: Tobi.com
